What we treat

ACL and ligament tears

The ligaments that stabilize your knee can tear from a twist, a hard cut, or a collision, common in sports like soccer, basketball, and skiing. A torn ACL often comes with a pop, swelling, and a knee that feels like it might give out. Dr. Deramo repairs and reconstructs these to get your stability back.

Meniscus tears

The meniscus is the cushion of cartilage between your thigh bone and shin bone. Tears cause pain, swelling, catching, or a knee that locks up. Many are treated arthroscopically to trim or repair the damaged cartilage.

Cartilage damage

Worn or injured cartilage leads to pain and stiffness, and over time, arthritis. Treatment depends on how much is affected and how active you are.

Kneecap (patellar) instability

If your kneecap slides out of place or feels unstable, Dr. Deramo addresses the structures that keep it tracking the way it should.

Knee arthritis

Worn cartilage from age or old injuries causes aching, stiffness, and grinding. Options range from injections and therapy to surgery, based on how far it’s progressed.

Tendon and overuse injuries

Runner’s knee, patellar tendinitis, and similar overuse injuries often respond to non-surgical care, which is where Dr. Deramo starts.
